About

Conor MacNeill

Bass, Baritone, Feedbox and Hopbox

Inspired by the traditional music of barbershop quartets such as The Dapper Dans, The Be Sharps, The Buffalo Bills and The Gas House Gang, Conor joined the up and coming barbershop trio "The Three Nicks" to fill the space left by Nick Kentucky when he left to aucition for The Ambassadors of Harmony (157-member men's barbershop chorus). After the death of Nick Callum, Conor remained with Nick Chamberlain, forming The High C's.

Nick Chamberlain

Tenor, Soprano, Mezzo-soprano and Lead/Melody

Nick (original member from The Three Nicks) was inspired to get into barbershop trio-ism after, as a young boy, he'd heard the intricate melody and rhythm play between passing trains, bird song and an Elvis impersonator in the park. Nick's hobbies include one-legged tap dancing and dowsing for water.

Nick Callum (1978 - 2005)

Deceased

Sadly the pressure of being in a barbershop trio got to our beloved Nick in March 2003 when he committed suicide by setting fire to his straw hat whilst wearing it. Due to this tragedy, it was thought that The Three Nicks name should be retired and The High C's was born.
